Witch's Bell book 6 is a great and fun read. But in terms of advancing the plot, it does... not a lot.Still Odette Bell wrote a great book that does not detract from the series and is a really fun good adventure. Sadly, it leaves me asking for more and hoping that book 7 would advance the plot substantially.
I hope that book seven comes out soon. It might be me but I always hope that series do not drag on and never seem to end. And I say this not because I am getting bored, but because I really love the series. And I have seen to many series that lost their way after "too many" books.
Lastly I must say this. I love how Ebony is weak and strong at the same time. She is a normal person, not some guy's fantasy of a kickass woman nor some extreme feminist idea of a self made woman. She is a person that has her strengths and weaknesses and who cannot do everything herself, and knows the importance of friends and help. Like you know.... a real person (be it a guy or gal). While perfect people or deeply flawed long suffering people might be interesting to read or see.... In the end, when it comes to it, it is the common guy/gal that always interest me the most in stories.
In the end, Ebony, the heroine of the books that is the real star and will this book does not advance the plot, it gives me another few hours getting to know Ebony once again. And that is really why this series succeeds.

Please read these books. You will not be disappointed. The main character is great and the plots are wacky and fun.

These books are a well told story. However, there are so many errors in grammar, punctuation, spelling and word choice
I find myself wondering if the author has bothered to include any proofreading in her writing. When the word "garden" is used instead
of "guarding" it totally breaks into the reader's "suspended disbelief". This, sadly, is not a one-time incident but prevalent throughout and eventually I began to feel a disrespect as a reader from an author who does not care about presenting an enjoyable experience to the one reading.
This is Ebony's most difficult challenge. Will she be able to overcome the final attack that threatens the Portal?
A powerful spell has been released and everyone in Vale can't see the problem including her Knight in Shining Armor. She's on her own. Or so she thinks.
Go Ebony.
I loved it, the ups and downs and how she finds her way through a seeming insurmountable problem.
I can honestly say that I have thoroughly enjoyed each and every book in the WITCH'S BELL series. The characters are great! I think the tension and attraction between Ebony and Nate is palpable. I think I let out an audible sigh when they FINALLY broke through their in individual stubborn pride and admitted their feelings. And Harry! What can you say about dear, sweet, cantankerous, yet oddly charming, ol' Harry? He's like the penultimiate grumpy old man. Not to mention that he's a complete hoot!!! LOL
I loved all the characters and the flow if the entire story line. Each book ended with me looking forward to more. I would welcome another addition to the collection.
